The folders in programInstallationFolder\Default\appl\ and workSpaceName\Standards\ProStructures\ are organized by physical object type. You can change the folder layout and folder names in a workspace to whatever works best for your organization provided the configurations variables are set to match. Some possibilities are native language folder names, recreating the layout of a V8i Localised subfolder, and even details like moving “Bolts” to the top level because bolts are too important to hide under “MechanicalFasteners”.

If you choose to recreate the V8i Localised subfolder layout,

• Separate the design files managed by the UserParts tool (BlockCenter in V8i) from the design files used for custom symbols and assemblies in other tools.
• Be aware the PS_DISPATCHCELL and PS_DISPATCHCELLDATABASE configuration variables are the Directory type. In some datasets, more than one UserBlocks subfolder contained dispatch cells (blocks).
• Delete the image files for built-in weld signs and opposite signs so that only the custom design files and companion image files remain in the UserBlocks\WeldFlags\Signs\ and UserBlocks\WeldFlags\Opposite\ folders.
• Add folders for data files that weren't in Localised subfolders, e.g. the Rebar detailing project.
